This really is a beautiful functional piece of art. The blue glass is stunning and its only made more attractive by the gold brass around the edges. It is much sturdier than I expected it to be and it holds quite a bit. I love the varying depths of the compartments, its useful for so much more than just pens. The bottom is covered in felt which keeps it from scratching up the desktop. Would also be great for your vanity for makeup brushes and what not.

I'm going to use this for cosmetics on my bathroom counter, and it's large enough to hold everything but small enough to look good. The different shapes are perfect for holding cosmetic brushes, lipsticks, etc. The blue color glass is stunning. Flawless without defects or issues. This would also look great for holding collections like seashells, or small items, or for a fancy desk. I'm really impressed with how beautiful this is. What a unique picture frame. The part that you see in my picture in the review that is colored, it’s just an insert. The actual photo frame is all brass and glass. This only orients one way and that is vertical. The brass is more of a matte finish. The subtle wave design is reminiscent of oceans or desert dunes.

I like the looks of this frame. The color is a little more “brass” colored. In the picture it looked a little more gold. But it looks nice. I also like that you can either stand it up or hang it on the wall.

One thing that was confusing is that in the description it said that they would include some steel wool to polish the brass. However, there was no steel wool. The instructions inside the package say to clean the brass with metal polish if you want it to be bright again. This makes more sense, because I think steel wool would scratch it.

There is a latch to open the frame, so that you can put your photo in the frame between the two pieces of glass. The paper inside is held in place by some tape, and I think I will have to tape my photo too, for it to stay in place. You won’t see the tape if you just tape the bottom, behind the brass design.

I look forward to the brass as it ages and takes on that nautical look.
The blue tint .. very subtle.. is really a nice touch. It totally obscures finger prints etc.
It would be at home on a burlwood desk for sure.

This would be a lovely wedding gift or a treat for yourself. I feel sort of guilty getting it provided at no cost. I have not looked at other reviews but they surely say the same thing..

What a beautiful piece! Reminds me a bit of stained glass. This is definitely breakable, so keep that in mind especially if you have young ones or pets around. I truly love the look, and the quality is very impressive; it feels solidly assembled, and the sort of ombre effect mixed with the hue of the blue glass in contrast with the gold trim is STUNNING. This is the perfect thing next to my computer, and it beautifully holds it all, from my pens, pencils, lip gloss, keys, and scissors, to just about everything in between.
